Why you should go on a Christmas Ski Break to Norway
by: artavia.seo

When you're looking for a great thing to do for Christmas that's a little out of the ordinary for you, why don't you try taking a ski break to Norway? It's a beautiful area and there are a lot of options, with trails for beginners, intermediate skiers, advanced skiers, and snowboarders. That means that, no matter who you are or whether you've ever skied before, you can enjoy skiing in Norway. Beitostolen is one of the most recommended areas, and it's right on the edge of a National Park, so it's great for natural beauty and solitude. The ski resort is small, but it's very well laid out and there is a lot to do. The slopes are generally gentle and they are usually not crowded, which makes it great for people who aren't experienced skiers. You can ski there from November to May, but around Christmastime can be the most beautiful. The holiday spirit and all that know is very hard to beat when you're looking for something to put you in a seasonal mood.

Geilo is another great Norway ski destination, and there are trails for all different skill levels there, as well. That includes trails for snowboarders. It's the second largest ski resort in the country and has great convenience, since it's served by an airport that's only twenty minutes from the town centre. While the altitude there is not that high there is plenty of snow due to the local climate, and it's a great place for beginners and families to have a wonderful ski experience.

If you're a more advanced skier looking for a great challenge during your Christmas getaway you'll want to go to Hemsedal. It's Norway's answer to the Alps and has just about everything that you could think of. It's only an hour from Geilo, and there are fast lifts and short queues. If you have family members or friends who aren't that good at skiing, that's ok. Bring them along and they can enjoy the easier slopes and the ski school, which has English-speaking instructors. It's popular with snowboarders, too, and truly has something for everyone.
