Adventure Lodge, Rafting, Hiking %26 Horseback Riding in New Zealand River Valley is a New Zealand adventure lodge situated "away from it all" next to the breathtaking Rangitikei River. While River Valley Lodge is certainly a nice place to relax, to really get the most out of your stay you need to take part in some of the great adventure activities that River Valley offers.
Adventures range from the excitement of Grade 5 white water rafting, to gentle float trips especially suitable for the whole family, from hill country horse trekking, to the River Valley pitch 'n' putt golf course. All our activities are professionally operated, with skilled and knowledgeable staff and superior equipment.
The focus of the business is not only on adventure though. It is also about sharing our "turangawaewae", or "our place that we stand". These are the things that make us different - our history spanning 5 generations - 3 being river guides, the fresh food that comes from the Lodge gardens, our connection with our river - the Rangitikei, the personalised service that we offer to our guests, our values.
Accommodation options vary from our well appointed deluxe riverside rooms, to garden rooms, to several small bunkrooms for either the children, or the budget minded traveler.
Lodge facilities include restaurant/cafe, licenced bar, saunas and spa, and during the summer, a massage room to get those muscles loosened up after a days adventuring.
