Multisport in Ecuador
The Tucan is an extraordinary way to see Ecuador in a short period of time. It's packed with exciting and varied physical activity, wonderful scenery, and the chance to meet the locals. You'll hike through virgin Amazon jungle, the mystical Bellavista cloud forest, and the fertile highlands surrounded by 'The Valley of Volcanoes'. You'll paddle the stunning Rio Napo and climb up the waterfalls that feed this mighty river in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon basin. You'll cycle down Cotopaxi, the world's highest active volcano, and through the lush, green Pastaza river canyon flowing down to the jungle. You'll visit a local rainforest community, and have the chance to try out a wealth of optional adrenalin activities in Banos - a beautiful little town at the foot of the immense Tungurahua Volcano, and an outdoor adventure playground.

About Active South America
Active South America run active, hiking, biking, paddling and multi-sport trips, but they do much more than that. With Active you get to stay with a local Quechua family and sit around the stove as they cook you dinner. You can hike to the famous Machu Picchu in Peru and then head off to a remote Incan valley for unforgettable cycling. ACTIVE trips are the perfect balance of "must-see" sites and remote destinations that you probably would never find on your own, but will no doubt remember (and probably enjoy more than the well-known spots) for the rest of your life. They are a blend of heart-pumping activities, and blissful relaxation. From soaking in hot pools in remote Costa Rican rainforest, to the exciting bike ride down the slopes of Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador. There's something for everyone and you needn't be super-fit to do any of it. Their trips are designed for real people with a reasonable level of fitness and interest in outdoor activities. For more information, visit their website and request your free brochure.

Past Customer Feedback
"It was a wonderful experience to see Ecuador through the eyes of our local guide. The Active South America trip was the perfect itinerary, but be sure to add a couple days after the tour to see Quito. I am now going to make it my mission to get more people to visit this spectacularly beautiful country!"
